Health Services
Welcome to Robbinsdale Area Schools Health Services. Members of the Robbinsdale Area Schools' Health Services staff interact in partnership with the educational team to promote wellness and resolve health concerns which create barriers to learning. School nurses and health assistants work together to meet the health needs of students. This team has a unique understanding of students' physical, social, and emotional health and the resulting impact on learning.

Nurturing Healthy Learners
  • Students need 8-10 hours of sleep. Set appropriate bedtimes and help your child get in the habit of getting to bed on time.
  • Good nutrition is also directly related to the ability to learn. A good breakfast fuels the brain for the morning.
  • Good attendance is critical for learning. All students should strive for a 95% or better attendance record (one day absence per month average).
  • Hand washing remains the single most effective way of reducing illness!
  • Regular exams with medical and dental providers help to prevent health problems. See your school nurse for available resources.
  • Daily physical exercise is important. Limit your child's time viewing television and playing video games.
